Morloc Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) Hi all, new to the site so please be gentle. Been working on a L4D2 5 map campaign. Heres some screenshots Edited September 24, 2013 by Morloc FMPONE and Thrik 2 Quote
Dalannar Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 The areas look great but the orange light in the first screenshot seems way too strong. Quote
Morloc Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 The areas look great but the orange light in the first screenshot seems way too strong. Hey thanks, Ive toned these down alot since that screenshot. Someone else had mentioned this . Quote
Sprony Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 More Left 4 Dead is always a good thing. I like it. In the last screenshot, near the sandbags, the shadows on the wall look a bit weird. Quote
BaRRaKID Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 Looking at the first ss i think the problem is the intensity of the white light, if you made the room just a bit darker and with more shadows the orange light would would probably look better. You could also try to change the overall light from white to a very light colour (if it already has some colour then make it a bit more saturated). For example in the second SS, the right part of the image looks very nice, but the left part not so much, in my opinion, due to the colour of the light. But really great job, waiting for more Quote
Morloc Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 Thanks all for the feed back. Lighting has always been a black art to me but I think Im finally going in the right direction, plus Im enjoying playing about with it.Will take onboard the suggestions and see what I can do. Heres a few other screens And this is the loading screen. (still got some tweaking to do) blackdog 1 Quote

Morloc Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 Looking great cashed. I think I need to start looking at cs:go to see how better things look in the engine compared to l4d2. Quote
