Hehe, he's back with the wacky maps again, all we need is Mazy's css_eggfartgeorf and my life will be complete :P

Looks good RD, would look better with a decent skybox though :)

I would like to show you some cool stuff. Me and my friend are working on a map.. it's a real place.. So we are basically 3 persons on the team and we have done some custom models for the map. The map is a de_ style.

So we have decided to post some screens of what is done.. We are aiming now to make a store in the city like bomb place 2. Bombplace 1 is in the house. You can take the elevator inside the buildings to level 5. then u can use the stairs.. and walk into even apartments.. The best thing about this map is you can blow up the whole block house you see on screenshot 1. It's all breakable.

and on floor 4 in the building..

we made you know a room like with a zoombie.. when u takes the elevator to floor 5 u se thru the glass the zombie with blood and its like danger sign and flickering lights.. it makes nightmares.

And we will make a basement inside one of the blockhouses to go inside and go outside by a sliding door and we will make a kind of a special room to hide out when the building explodes. And of course we will make a football arena somewhere between the buildings and a little park with and other thing like swingseats and playground.

heh here is some screens. We are making this for fun..

We don't know if we will release this map as a public since this is more like a hobby project for us.. and we have betatesters enought. Time will tell :banjo:

My WIP for a few months now. I'm finally getting back to work on this level after some work on other chapters, so your input'd be appreciated.

A couple of things that I've already noted that need some fixes -

*Skybox mesas are temp. HL2 reskinned ones as a placeholder for our new ones which aren't skinned properly yet

*Ground texture and cliff texture stretch a lot. We're working on that.

Yeah looking damn nice

I loved that area in HL1.

Only thing I'd say would be the rocks in the background are quite sharp and the rocks right behind the building on the left are pretty smooth.

I'd try to make those a bit sharper behind the building to get a bit better transition between the two.

Otherwise it's top quality with shadowing and detailing etc.

Looks amazingly good. Nice atmosphere - the important thing is that it has to be in extreme contrast to the inside of Black Mesa, and I think you really captured that difference well. Soundscapes will be crucial here, of course.

Also, he said that the skybox (background) rocks are temporary.
