2d-chris Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 If you want to get better with layout and game play, start by disabling all the fancy render stuff and look at the basics. 1) disable all render setting except terrain and vegetation (in rollup bar) 2) e_defaultmaterial 1 or r_texbindmode 5 alows you to see flat shading which really helps when figuring out geometry shapes 3) work out a lighting TOD that fits your geometry and highlights your "routes or paths" Quote

Froyok Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 My water shader (UDK). It's hard to have a good rendering... Quote
dux Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Nice shader. Shame the DOF makes it look like a model with some water in it. Quote
Froyok Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Nice shader. Shame the DOF makes it look like a model with some water in it. Yeah, i don't know how to fix this thing. Maybe remove the DOF ? I don't a beautiful and natural blend with it. My actual blend is too sharp. Quote

Campaignjunkie Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Single player HL2Ep2. Murder a VIP -- then mop up all the witnesses. In the process of mopping-up, you'll probably create more witnesses. Red lines connect witnesses to the murder they witnessed. Don't let any escape, don't kill so many that you can't manage the clean-up. No Russian + a wall hack, in an arch-viz museum, with a noir narrative about being a lesbian and being betrayed. 1) Is it too dark on peoples' monitors? 2) Does it feel "noir"? If not, what can I do? (I specifically wanted to avoid the typical black and white noir look, I like color) Quote
Froyok Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Not too dark at all for me ! I like the colors anyway. Quote
insta Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 You have the coolest ideas. And yeah, it's not dark for me either. Quote
Pampers Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 haha hurry up and release campaignjunkie, I've enjoyed your other sp projects. Btw what happened to that submarine map? Quote
D3ads Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 I LOVE that last shot. Ditto, I know it's only an alpha texture but that skyline is perfect! Quote
