tofu Posted May 1, 2009 Report Posted May 1, 2009 I mean good job on getting it working. But you just took years of gameplay tweaking and refinement and threw it out the window with that map. Then again, I dont know if you are serious with that thing or if its just a test Uh what? It honestly doesn't play too much differently than lighthouse. Regardless of how it plays, it's always cool to splash out and just create something for the fun of it I thought it looked cool, maps like that are perfect for small LANs. You could do some cool stuff with some of the items typically found in a bedroom too, i.e. flip the texture on the TV halfway through to some zombie related pic, have the monitor smash and become a spawning point for tanks/hordes etc. Quote

I made this map to be something a little different than what was already out. I'm planning on a few mid game events that should mix it up a little bit. I'm also looking into a small campaign where you're this size. Quote
Steppenwolf Posted May 3, 2009 Report Posted May 3, 2009 Here is an update for my rFactor track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNgm9GTXBe8 Managed to get a shitload of stuff done. Remember i started with that over the easter weekend and most things you see are custom. Things left on my to do list: - half a dozen props and half a dozen textures - get some decent lighting and shadows in (actualy the current lighting is nice but its borrowed from another track) - performance optimizations - smoothen some of the geometry (pit lane is quite bumpy) - get the AI and rules in - cameras - debugging Quote
The Horse Strangler Posted May 5, 2009 Report Posted May 5, 2009 Been playing with the lighting of my TF2 map cp_factory. It was bright before, much like 2forts lighting though I wanted something a bit different. Quote
2d-chris Posted May 5, 2009 Report Posted May 5, 2009 Looks great Mr ... think we really need some new texture sets for tf2 though Quote

I've played some rFactor and I know it has a large following. The track looks great! How about showing us some of the custom stuff in stills. Everything in the video goes by so fast Quote
popcornjake Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 Something I've been working on for what feels like years. Quote
