popcornjake Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 @CampaignJunkie: With some nicer looking textures (the beams in the foreground looks pretty low res) and a few more details like little bits of trash floating in the water and graffiti on the walls i think that map/scene could look reall quite nice. Also, try adding an env_sprite to the light sources, looks a little lacking withot them. Quote
JeanPaul Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Much Madness is divinest Sense -- Listen to the man in the previous post. Also, if its just a scene and not an actual map, give those arches like 32 sides each and go pretty crazy with some more brushwork Awesome stuff but I honestly hate water in quake 3 maps its soo annoying Quote
Skacky Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 You got something sexy here Hipshot, pretty unusual. Looks like we'll have some nice frying parties in the water. Quote
hessi Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 I can't compete with titans like warby / hessi / other people who make my e-penis even smaller lol good luck then, because i won't make any new maps, so you or someone else can have my place next thing will hopefully be an iphone app at least that's what i will be supposed to work on starting on 1st april. best part about it: i will earn more money than my former girlfriend ^^ + i work only part time while she is working full + over time life can be good and to be honest: it feels good to be an asshole and shit all over those people that recently pissed me off Quote
AlexM Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 hehehe very nice, do you have a webpage for the game? Quote
Pampers Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 The programmer wrote his own engine, its using deferred rendering, supports physics, next-gen materials and we have an ingame editor Quote
Skjalg Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 What did he write it in (Silverlight?) and what API's did he use to get varius aspects like physics (assuming he didnt write this all on his own). Quote
Pampers Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 its written in c++, use lua for gameplay and havok for physics Quote
VoodooBenshee Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 can we get some moving stuff - like video? looks really nice =) Quote
Nurb Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 A couple of new screens from my UT3 project. First I wanted to make the big tank and the pipes stainless and more shiny, but imo it manages to be a main focus point in the environment even with more blended materials, but I'm open to opinions. DvS Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Absolute sex nurb, if there's one thing I'd nitpick over though, it's that the white "bridge" things don't really blend in with the brick walls well enough. It kind of looks like you pulled a model from a snow environment and put it in an industrial one. Quote
