Jetsetlemming Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 ":9paqfgvi] Anyways, are those screens photoshoped, or one can have that kind of color control in the engine itself? oh, and the screens looks way too dark buddy, you gotta calibrate that monitor of yours! I believe he's working in Source (his page mentions DoD), and Source has a color correction feature (though it's SM2.0 only). Quote
Skacky Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 Some new screenies. It took me an entire night to do the cave, still not finished as you can see (some texture and lighting troubles) Added some foliage by the way. Quote
neotic Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 Love the blue skaky. Gang walks for the win. Thank zeta, proof i shouldn't post late late at night lol. I just noticed in the second picture too that one of the window frames models is lit irregularly too. Thanks rt, it started out as a Mediterranean villa... it still has water below the cliffs.. but now I'm toying with the idea. Quote
Skacky Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Looking good -rt-! Okay, I decreased the HDR scale of the glows, and I deleted the platform shit things in the cave, it's now jumping sequences with headcrabs. Still got some lighting troubles in the cave, will be fixed in no time. Quote
Zeta Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Stick in some overhead lighting arhurt, or maybe have an nice big open sky light. Quote
Inveramsay Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 noticed that I forgot to remove the netgraph but it is only wip Quote
DvS Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 noticed that I forgot to remove the netgraph but it is only wip Looks cool but you could scale up the water texture a bit. Quote
Campaignjunkie Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 Cool stuff -rt-, but increase the luxel density on the lit wall! You can definitely afford the (small) performance hit. Here's something I'm working on - a kind of Western themed single player thing, but I'm too lazy to make textures, so I'm trying out a gradient-NPR approach. The goal is to rescue your loved one from the scaffold, the scaffold being impossibly tall and inspired by something I saw in this awesome art film called "The Fall." Quote
arhurt Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 Woa, that's very cool, very Impressionist, I like it as it is. Quote
sk3tch Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 Working on a map...possible called de_hydro. Working on de_boston still, but need a break so I started this one. Very rough at the moment...prolly 60% done. Quote
Skacky Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 Looks cool sk3tch, but it's a bit empty. Nevermind, I'm sure it will be filled with some things later. Quote
