Steppenwolf Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 That 'polish architecture' is actualy prussian or german tho assuming these buildings were created before 1945. Quote

Yes, but only on terrains gained after WW2 but it is not the same what is in whole Germany - Silesia had her own style. These buildings are from 1904-1906 as I remember (signs upper the main entrance)... This style is a good opportunity to make non-french-willage map. Polish architecture map is arleady under works tbh. Show me it :> Quote

Albatros Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Beautiful stuff there. Can't wait for Push to become released . Something Non-DoDish from my side... A house that awaits restoration. It wasn't clear what colours to use on the walls, railings and building itself, so I went for a "preview" in Source to help us decide. Actually the results turned out to get pretty close to the "real thing". It's nothing big, but I think it's quite nice to look at. Only had three days to get it done so far, BUT (!) to my defense: I just didn't have more time, since work on it is about to begin. Apart from that, I slowed down my mapping speed by factor two (though this is a tough challenge really ). Quote
KungFuSquirrel Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Wow, that looks fantastic, Albatross. Much more cohesive texturing than what people have been hounding you about lately and it makes a huge difference. Great details, too. Don't suppose we could see photos of the real deal? Quote
-HP- Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 I think you cheated by showing small pictures (everything looks good small) but still it looks very nice Small? have you tried clicking on them? xD Anyways, great work, loved the lighting!! Quote
Psyshokiller Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 That's really the best thing I've seen so far from you, very idyllic. Would love to see an sp map with that kind of theme. Quote
hessi Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 yeah it is nice looking, but somehow i miss the map around the cool visuals. all your previous levels had a nice layout and "cheap" graphics. now this one seems to have nice graphics but a cheap layout instead. maybe this isnt meant to be a playable level, no? I seriously thought those were more photos on first glance, fantastic work Quote
Psy Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Very nice. You could do with some AF on those alpha-textures though. Quote
