Schmung Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 I can't even see what it is on my pitiful work monitor. Quote
mike-0 Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 the cliffs look more like flat walls with a rock texture applied to them than rocky cliffs Quote
jamin620 Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 GONDOLA! not too shabby for a first modeling attempt. now if only I could get my soundscapes working I can finish this map. Quote
jaardsi Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 For first model, bravo. Finish that map already! Quote
Pericolos0 Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 nice work sonny! maybe the water does need to be reflective tho ;o it may eat fps alot, but u can turn it off if you want right? Quote
skdr Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 heh that water is screaming for reflections ;-D Quote
jamin620 Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 problem with reflections for me is that I cant see them. not really. I am dx8, not 9. anyway, venician gondola's are tarred, so it is the right color. Quote
von*ferret Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 needs posts in the water and more over hangs. Quote
Fullauto Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 needs posts in the water and more over hangs. QFE. Needs vine runners on the wall too. Quote
mike-0 Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 I added a spiral thing to the house, and made the environment mid-day. I think my cliff needs a little more variation. Quote
insta Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 The road texture looks better when used on a 256 unit surface. At only 128 units wide, it looks much thinner than a real road. Try placing that car model onto the road for a second and see if it looks "right". Quote
mike-0 Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 shit, that'd mean id have to do my curved road again. Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 thats cool, really yellow on my screen but that make the ambience. ha, and the tower of the house is floating ! Quote
