Kakburk Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 You really are filled with love aren't you killertomato? <3 Quote
Furyo Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 New art direction. Those columns don't make any sense at all If anything, turning them upside down would work better imho Quote
Albatros Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Okay, I've given it a try... any better? Cheers Quote
Sa74n Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 that support kinda thing on the top- center irritates me. otherwise its coming along nicely Quote
⌐■_■ Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Hey there.. MUCH BETTER.. I think you're taking feedback very well! GG Anyhow, here's another shot for ya. But remember: this is only MY opninion. If anyone else disagrees; POST! You really are filled with love aren't you killertomato? <3 Oh yeah.. Quote
Defrag Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 I think the lighting could be more interesting -- it almost looks monotone. Looks good other than that Quote
von*ferret Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 I agree with defrag. Right now you have like this collage of desaturated color in this war scene. I dont feel depth in your scene. I dont see indoors unless I try. Which would make it hard for me moving in the scene to appropriately see and address enemies. I'd say if you worked on lighting to improve a sense of depth it would go a long way. Quote
D3ads Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 New art direction. Those columns don't make any sense at all Why not? Quote
Furyo Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 The way I see those pillars, the larger part in this particular case would be used to support the ceiling. Particularly when there is something that may need support Quote
Albatros Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Only lighting changes this time. Acceptable? Cheers! Quote
Rick_D Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 @ comments on Quakis' piece since when is everybody here suddenly an architect? I've seen columns like this in (most notably) the national maritime museum here in london - it's not a case of adding additional support (if you flipped it upside down you'd end up with a heavier load on a thinner support anyway..) but quite often it's just decoration, some wood paneling built out over a concrete/stone rectangular support to give it some nicer aesthetics instead of just a square. @ albatros What's with the windows in the roof? Any reference pics to show that things as bizarre as that actually exist? lighting looks nice Quote
Mkz Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 lighting <3 but you need to fix the things killertomato said.. Quote
El Moroes Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 My map dod_rommel! Coming verry soon! Screen 01 Screen 02 Screen 03 Quote
hessi Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 that's so cool moroes. i really like the new environment for dod:s i cant take the normandy/italian villages any more! Quote
Furyo Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Moroes, that's cool, but I'd try to add some more faces to the hangars, the edges are really showing right now, and smoother angles would be totally worth it Quote
