KoKo5oVaR Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 Wow, impressive !! You did a really sweet job tomdom, just one thing tho, maybe the pillar on the right should have a shadow on it's side, since the lighting is coming from the right on the building ? Quote
tomdon Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 Yeh thats a good call, I have not baked any shadows for them yet. Quote
freakadelle Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 looks good but I don't like the colorsetting. but it's up to you, I just think beige with less saturation would look better but I don't even know what the animation will be about.... so just keep up the good work Quote
tomdon Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 Arch added. As for the colours, I am changing them every time, I dont think I will be fully set until I have all the shots done so I can make sure they all work together. Quote
TeddyBear Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 Awesome! Fantastic! Tremendous! The most realistic grass I've ever seen for a game. The right tree however, in my opinion, really brings the homogenity in quality down. Anyways, don't stop the music Quote
Mkz Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 i like it. but the house looks too clean - ? not sure becouse the picture is "small" also those pillar-textures should be sharpened a bit. (looks like blurred..) Quote
KungFuSquirrel Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 That looks awesome, tomdon, great composition. Quote
Kakburk Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 Wow! Looks great tomdon! Btw, is it just going to be a scene to add to your portfolio or will that be a playable map? (Just asking out of curiosity. ) Quote
Quakis Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Looks like a photo at first glances, good work there. Quote
Albatros Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Tomdon, did you change the lighting a bit between the last two shots? The newer one seems to be more saturated and a tad darker. Personally, I like the "paler" feeling of shot #1 slightly better than #2 - it's really coming close to a photo-realistic scene. Outstanding work anyways . Quote
Hourences Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 The composition and geometry is really good but the lighting as you have it now is as unfinished as it can get, it does not do justice to the scene imo. It can look mindblowing with the right polish. It looks to me like youve spend 99.5 percent of your time on the geometry and texturing and just placed a random light to light it out. Almost like default Max Maya lighting. White, no real believable source, very washed out. Finish it correctly, and itll kill anything and any one. Quote
