DaanO Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I agree with Mino. Oh and follow Kleins advice and it'll be fixed Quote
von*ferret Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 you still haven't put shit in the water, and until you do it wont be venice. Quote
mike-0 Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 Heres mine. Streetlights are too bright, ill fix that soon. Also the big house looks boring, what do you guys think would make it look nicer? Quote
von*ferret Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 its boring cause its flat. Find something to break up the walls and add depth to the architecture. Quote
|FRITZ| Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 the roof is too thick! But the whole situation doesn't really make any sense. Quote
mike-0 Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 the idea (im not quite there yet, obviously), is that theres a canal under that bridge and there are houses on top. ok, im working on the yellow house right now, fixing the roof and whatnot Quote
Grin Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 I think Venice needs a better sky, night/evening would prolly look good (of course, it's overused too..but) and the water is a big no no. Quote
Erratic Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 Here are a couple more shots from dm_torrent. This time just showing a bit of the outdoor areas. Quote
von*ferret Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 2nd shot is beautiful erratic. I say this not only for your wonderufl sense of atmosphere and appropriate detail, but you have vertical depth in your buildings. In the first shot, it would be much more powerful for instance if you had buildings of multiple heights. Inaccessible areas of maps are often the majority of the screen, so make sure they get as much detail as the minority of the screen or your overall atmosphere will lack. Quote

Just have to decide where to place a second level that would lend itself visually to different angles. Thanks. Quote
