FMPONE Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 Holy macaroni that is looking superb FMPONE!! I Hope all these props and cables are physicalized yus, as for the hole the model is just old (from evert's time  ) and I'd like to replace it entirely eventually. I'll tweak the lighting as well for some blue and work on the spotlights. ty peepz Quote
Kabelen Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Some great stuff from a lot of people in the last few pages here! Something I'm working on: It's for CS:S..a hostage resque map..all I know for now Quote
VoodooBenshee Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 first try to make something with hl2-stuff just a map for a hl2dm-killbox contest with 2048³ opened size only. built this in 2 days early shots: Quote
JamesL Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Something I have been working on in between grinding to get de_static finalised. Just trying to throw together and balance various models, materials and lighting to get a consistant feel. 100% custom stuff. Check out my Hessi tree Quote
PhilipK Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 ah sweet james! that has a lot of potential imo. seems kinda overbloomish now Cant wait to see more. Would be awesome with some river with a custom water shader or so and a nice wooden bridge over it. Quote
EviLTaxi Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 that's some really nice environment! you might want to use a lower lightmap scale value for the floor of that wooden building to get some more exact shodows and put the faces of the round pillars in one smoothing group. that kind of architecture in combination with the trees reminds me of these typical japanese gardens. is that what you aim for? dux Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Nice James I like it a lot, but a bit bright and garish. Quote
FMPONE Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Nice James I like it a lot, but a bit bright and garish. Agreed, subtlety is important indeed. Your displacement hills are not tiling very attractively either, custom content is a bit on the rough side but tons of potential for the scene. rock on put a little japanese garden statue-ette in der Quote
hydeph Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 i think the gazebo is excellent, except the texturing, there is some odd stretching on some of the poles, also you should try either natural coloured wood or a less bright red, that shows off more grain n such otherwise it's looking very nice Quote
neotic Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Hope these aren't too big, stupid photobucket! Quote
von*ferret Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 promising, needs major lighting and texturing work. Quote
hessi Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 wow. this screenshot looks pretty cool. cant wait to see more! go on! Quote
