It seems that the old school guys, who actually have played alot of cs_mansion really likes this version, because eye-candy aint everything to them... The rest, well, they aren't old boys, so i dont care about them...

I'm older school than everybody except mike and mojo and I don't particularly care for it. Mansion didn't even have good gameplay. It was horribly ugly and horrible unbalanced. I mean, congrats on porting it to CS:S and all, but you could port cs_5star to CS:S as well and it would stil also be ugly and unbalanced, too.

You guys are pretty rude. He said he converted it, not turned it into a masterpiece. Why are you guys being so harsh (even after he asked you not to flame him in the first post)? The original map wasnt pretty either, and he expressed a great joy in how the original map was layed out and how it played. I think you need to lay off new guys, you come off as assholes in this thread. Its obvious he doesnt have enough experience to make it any better, so instead of flaming him, why not give him tips to make it better instead of "OMG NOOB LOL IT SUCKS AM I RITE GUYS LOL THS IS HOW YOU INTERNET"

[edit] The map above seems to be a remake of cs_estate but without bushes and stuff. As most of you know, estate was the upgrade to mansion (or at least a very very similar map)

If converting ugly maps makes him happy, let him do it...

@Skaljg: If you like the gameplay of mansion better (tbh I don't quite see the difference gameplay-wise between mansion and estate but anyway....)you could still try to make it visually more appealing, especially since this map is for source and everybody expects maps to look 1000x better now.
