Campaignjunkie Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Hey. I've released the second episode. It's about gay marriage counseling, psychological repression, and the nature of theatricality in level design. It's not very fun, but hey, at least I finished it and released it. And it has voice acting!! Now to never look back on it again, thank god. WEBSITE: http://www.radiator.debacle.us DOWNLOAD: http://www.radiator.debacle.us/01/#download Quote
ultradr3mer Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 looks different then most mods. couldnt you make clear that there is the end? i mean polaris kinda had an final puzzle. i just went crazy on searching a basement and brought it to c2 and x0 or whatever it is. besides that the hl2 ladders were really annoying although it was nice to play and visual. FrieChamp Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 I was looking forward to this and finally had a chance to check it out! Nice work, here are my comments: I think you did a good job letting the level explain the gameplay, not that it was very complicated, but all the signs, visual and audial cues made me figure out what to do relatively fast. The first time I had to move a crate in a higher row, using a ladder made me struggle and a tad annoyed. That's when I noticed that each time I mess up, the surroundings change appearance/take damage. Not too long after that I figured out from the little scenes in between that moving the crates to the destination ("repressing") was not the goal. Failing was. I thought that was cool, but as you said, a little more gameplay couldn't have hurt! The setting itself and the "story" is quite unusual and original, I liked that. The whole thing reminded me of the nightmare level in Max Payne, kinda trippy. Nice attention to detail overall and some pretty cool ideas in those scenes! I think this could be a good example of teaching a message by playing a game! Quote
Gloglebag Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 I can't say it was fan. But that said I'm glad I got to experience it, I'm glad you made it, and it left a bigger impression on me then most mods or games. Quote
