-HP- Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 This was fun to watch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBtxB_PnCTo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eN7uE-CoFW0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERyc5NH5VZQ Quote
e-freak Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 the ending was pretty intense though. didn't think it'd hurt the kid so much firing of the gun. nice to see a pro-games point of view though (although this is just as polarizing as are the opposing sites' "documentaries") Quote
Steppenwolf Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 This was quite one-sided. I don't think its a good idea to let prepubescent kids play first person shooters or other violent games. Honestly i couldn't care less if violent games are strictly forbidden for kids. What always pisses me off is when politicians want to censor or forbid it for adults. Quote
Buddy Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 I watched this couple days ago. I agree little kids like that crybaby shouldnt really play stuff like this, there's a lot more suitable stuff they could. I mean, this kid barely could talk let alone understanding what he actually does in those games and i think that some puzzle/adventure/whatever stuff would be a bit more valuable for the kid that COD hahah On the other note he seemed a bit retarted even The fat guy was creppy as shit, collecting guns but hating on fps video games ' mass murder simulators ', this was so ironic i couldnt name it :S I've never seen P&T before, it seemed like totaly out of place The biker guy: -"I play 10 hours a day" -"Fuck Yeah!" cyberjunkie Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 Talk about coincidence. I JUST finished watching it a few minutes back and rushed to Mapcore.net looking for a topic! T'was fun~ Quote
Grinwhrl Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Really good show, great episode. When the fat guy with the triangle dio turned out to be a gun nut, and Penn went all Fuck on him, Hilarious stuff. Quote
Minos Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Yeah they are always quite one-sided but its a fun show nevertheless =) Quote
Taylor Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Surely people going on this program know he's going to shout "stupid motherfucker" over everything they say? Quote
aaron_da_killa Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Man I'm sick of this whining and complaining about video games and younger kids, it's as if the people against kids playing games think that kids are stupid. It's really up to the parents if their kids play video games and at what age they play and what type of games they play and such. Violent video games aren't going to make kids/teenagers violent themselves, that's stupid. Any kid with a decent brain can distinguish real life from video games and realize that the two have different rules and standards for what's acceptable. Just because a kid shoots a human in a video game, dosen't mean they think/will think that shooting people in real life is acceptable. I was introduced to video games at a young age, played my first fps game when I was probably 8 or 9.. and I like to think I'm normal. I have no urge to be violent or kill anybody. I'm not addicted to games or play excessive amounts of games. I was never rude to my parents, refusing to do things because I was playing a video game. I didn't perform poorly in school because I was playing too much video games. I'll tell you what's bad for kids, having these sort of restrictions like restrictions on video games, tv, bedtimes and whatnot. Babying kids like that. Kids will never get any common sense if they are just babied around. Let them figure out that sleeping late has negative effects, not forcing them to sleep early and them never really actually wanting to get a decent amount of sleep, always wanting to stay up later. Sentura Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 just told me what i knew already. parents should focus on being good parents instead of trying to blame every new trend coming out every x years. if you think your child is in danger of becoming a murderer because of video games, it's not the games doing something wrong, it's you as a parent. i don't even want to ban violent video games for kids, because some of them may even inspire kids to become the next generation of game artists or designers. how old were you when you started thinking about modding and potentially getting into video games professionally? ...i was 13. madgernader Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 ":1ymrfas6]Damn, really? lol... I was 17! Weirdo 14 Here at least for doing something and not just thinking it would be cool, I agree Ive grown up playing games both violent and not so and it hasn't made me unstable or want to do real damage in the real world. If anything its relaxing, just throw on some headphones and just do something else, forget what was stressing me out before so that I can come back in like and hour and look at it fresh... Quote
