Nysuatro Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 I am using the water as elevators. Very handy but not so fast Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 There are ladders you know Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 http://imgur.com/dOZl7.png Went on a sailing trip, explored some mysterious burning trees (source: a rare above ground lava flow), hid up above the clouds from creepers at night. My world filesize jumped from 6MB to 12. That was fun. Took like a week or so ingame from start to finish, exploring everything. Had every square of my inventory and craft squares filled by the time I got home. Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 MTS maps sure look a whole lot better zoomed in. Though it does make my glass ceiling'd farm building look like I built it out of cloth. Quote
-HP- Posted September 18, 2010 Report Posted September 18, 2010 6 pages and no one crafted a penis shaped map yet, amazine! ~~ Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted September 18, 2010 Report Posted September 18, 2010 Due to a bunch of server crap on Notch's end (What is that guy doing? There are hundreds of thousands of minecraft players and he still hadn't updated beyond a single local server?) Minecraft.net is mostly down except for a simple single html page, the downloads have been mirrored into an Amazon cloud, and Minecraft is free to play until all of this is sorted out. The download version from the site (from Amazon) is only the plain .exe so doesn't download/include sounds, though. So, anyway, if you wanted to try Minecraft and haven't yet, you can now get it for nothing (play some music in the background or something) Quote
AlexM Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 just grabbed it, any recommend servers or server lists? the minecraft one is down Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Multiplayer's currently broken, just play offline. Quote
arhurt Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6T0tQbpAHDg Just showing off my little settlement. (bonus points for hearing my accent) This would be so much fun with a structured multiplayer implementation. You could have territory flags that you drop on the ground and create a zone that is your territory. You could then set permissions and make your territory grow by building, exploring and gathering resources. You could then absorb neighboor terrirories and create a small kingdom \o/ rivalling kingdoms would fight both economically (trying to overlap their boundaries) as well as military (there could be restrictions for being on enemy territory, kinda like the attrition works on Rise of Nations). Buddy Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 To avoid animals stomping your crops you can fence them off using wooden fence, ah and the animals spawn everywhere the grass is. Quote
