PhilE Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Good point Tarky, I will change it. As for the texture being too dirty, I'll continue to adjust accordingly as the textures come together. The specific texture in Mirrors Edge wasn't exactly clean but I did go a bit further with the grunge. Thanks for the input guys! Edit: I do want to point out that I am recreating textures in a general sense. They will have differences for the purpose of the set coming together how I'd like it to while being directly inspired by Mirrors Edge. Quote
robert.briscoe Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 I agree, tone down the grime a bit, but otherwise very impressive recreation! Quote

Wesley Tack Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Cool stuff indeed, I would however change the stairs in that one shot, you have a cool railing design and then a cheap stair case that doesn't match the design of the railings. I quickly did a sketch in max to show what I mean (I didn't do the railings on the stairs, but I would also add the 1 1/2" tube on the stairs in a soft curve same as the base of the stairs. Here a render of the base: Quote
General Vivi Posted September 23, 2009 Author Report Posted September 23, 2009 ! Thanks guys ^^ . Also thanks wes for the suggestion. I talked to Sathor and he made this response for me to post "I like your idea, but the stair case is indeed just a part of the show room not intending to distract of the handrails in this screenshot. I always intended to design more parts, like stair case parts, and I really like your suggestion in the render. I hope you will forgive me if I steal a bit of your design." Quote
Wesley Tack Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 cool, keep it going (and keep those updates coming), you guys are doing a pretty amazing job! Quote
Warby Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 i love you vivi but this dof none sense has to stop ! i don't know much about cameras and lenses but i know enough to tell you that there is none that will get you this "result" and if there is one (and a way to use it like that ) than nobody in their right mind would choose to do it ! don't try to fake something that doesn't exist in the world of film and photography ! the other screens and props look lovely though ! General Vivi Posted September 27, 2009 Author Report Posted September 27, 2009 lol yeah.... He just gave me that render with the blur on the side. I asked for one without / a different style. . but the blur one still looked better even with the blur. So I just decided to post it Quote
