HOME is a movie by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and produced by Luc Besson. This is the short version (90') but you are merely invited to watch the long version (120') on theaters. I also recommend to visit http://www.home-2009.com/us/ to know more about the challenge of the future generation and the movie.

The film is only available until June 14th 2009.

The film is entirely free of copyright, so I suggest absolutely everyone gets it from bittorrent. I watched it yesterday and once again felt totally disgusted being part of this species but hey....best thing you can do is follow the guidelines preaches in the movie and change your habits as consumers.

What if the human race isn't meant to be the final incarnation of life on earth? You can't prevent population growth and overpopulation which means the inevitable need for more of the basics, it doesn't matter how much you recycle or how green your hybrid is. What about the 2+ tons of material needed to make that hybrid that won't be recycled for probably over 30 years? Buildings that might last 100's? Food a growing population needs, energy created for a species that uses it for the purpose of requiring more energy? Humans are a cancer. We are the antelopes, nature is our lion.

It's also really cute how this is funded by a textile conglomerate.

If all rationality is against us, what can we do ?

I tend to think the same thing :P

Does the movie stutter for anyone else?

I couldn't watch it, it was so bad. Every second or so it would halt for a single frame ... tried a couple of browsers, nothing.
