Lol, the game that made me get one was Lair. All the pre-release media stuff had me so pumped. Then all the reviews hated it and I was sad but I bought it anyways and enjoyed it.

Being a big MGS fan definitely didn't hurt and I loved uncharted, killzone 2, LBP and other big hits

I actually like cutscenes if they are done right. I dont need mindless gameplay to enjoy something I think if some games want to blur the mix between gameplay and movies thats fine by me this is one great example of what i think is a good job of it

I meant just the over exposure of character/story stuff through the media instead of just screens and gameplay related stuff.

But for the sake of it, ef your cut scenes.

Looks fucking great! Not watching a lot of videos from this as Uncharted 2, ODST and MW2 are three games I just want to go into without knowing much about the singleplayer.

Their E3 demo had me a lot more convinced. This looked nothing special even if well put together, and there was nothing there that justified having a bluray disc either (unlike Killzone 2 or MGS). Of course they've only had two years to make it but the overall look and feel makes me doubt the game's quality is consistent throughout the game. Their facial animations from the previous cutscenes were a lot more impressive, and art wise the look of some of these assets is a tad too much on the cartoony side (vegetation at the beginning for instance) which sends me a different vibe than their e3 demo.
