Section_Ei8ht Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 I got Uncharted with my PS3 but never played it until I saw the Uncharted 2 demo at the Sony Conference. Started playing the first one (about half-way through it) and it's spectacular. Sure, I could nit-pick it, but any flaws it has are well made up for by the rest of the game. I'll definitely be picking up Uncharted 2 and I'm hella looking forward to it. Quote
Buddy Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 It looks nice but i fail to detect the 'wow-incredible-best-ever factor'. Seems like a fun game though. DOF is horrible, agreed. Quote
Taylor Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 The 'wow' is coming from Uncharted 1 being so awesome if they just released more levels people would be happy. But instead we've got improved gameplay, graphics, story, characters, multiplayer, etc. Quote
madgernader Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Completely and utterly surpassed MW2 as my most anticipated game of 2009 after I saw the Sony conference demo + new trailer. Now I really feel like a damn foo for not getting the collectors edition of inFamous with a beta key (Although I'm still not totally sold on the multiplayer tbh) inFamous had a collectors edition? I just pre-ordered and picked up my copy and it had a code in it... Quote
Izuno Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 Anyone try the Uncharted2 MP beta yet? Open beta is supposed to end June 28. Quote
Sentura Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 MP for real? oh man, this is like a fantasy dream come true. Quote
madgernader Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 I attempted to try it. But the update download would freeze at random spots. It wasn't even that big (14megs) I had the same issue with LBP patches and I don't know if the servers were just swamped or what was going on... Quote
madgernader Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 Must have just been the download servers, Got it all patched up and played a few rounds tonight and its a blast. It plays just like the single player in the first one, your running around diving into cover blind firing and throwing grenades. The Plunder game mode was good fun as well, its basically one flag ctf. A treasure spawns in the map and you take it to your base. but when carrying it you can only use your pistol and you run slower/cant grab ledges. So you can throw the treasure to get it up on ledges or over to a teammate. It had a ranking system all up and going for the matchmaking where your rank was based on money earned in missions by scoring points (go figure) and you get bonus points for earning various medals, (some I can think of off hand are melee kills, killing a treasure carrier, that sort of thing) Quote
Mr. Happy Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 I think Uncharted has the potential to become a long lasting and commanding series of games akin to Half-Life. I found the first one so damn enjoyable, the game was fun, the story was fun, the characters were fun and it looks like their improving on the weaknesses. Ya, really looking forward to this one. Sentura Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 this may in fact be an excellent game Quote

Mazy Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Fucking Naughty Dog, they're just TOO good Still think the score for the first game is one of the best game soundtracks to date, and it sounds like this one will keep up that high standard. Looks absolutely phenomenal, can't wait for October! Quote
