kleinluka Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Not much to say really, just head on over to http://www.eidosmontreal.com for the news Eidos-Montréal is excited to unveil, our previously secret second title in development at the studio, as Thief 4, the next instalment in the legendary series! Monday, May 11, 2009 - Montreal "Were in the early development stages for Thief 4, but this is an incredibly ambitious project and a very exciting one. It's too early for us to offer any specific game details, right now we are focused on recruiting the very best talent to join the core team at the studio and help us make, what we believe will be one of the most exciting games on the market." Jetsetlemming Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 ":3dulyciz]I havent played Thief3, am I missing much? It's good, and it brings Garrett's story to a pretty good conclusion. In particular, the levels where you're at the seaside mansion of a dead ship captain, and the famous Shalebridge Cradle are really great levels and need to be experienced. Also Thi4f is a retarded logo concept. Come the fuck on. Quote

dux Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Thief 3 is better than Thief 1. Then you really are broken in the head. Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Thief 3 is better than Thief 1. Then you really are broken in the head. Thief 1's level design sucked compared to Thief 2's, and wasn't nearly as atmospheric, and Thief 3 has the captain's mansion, Shalebridge Cradle, and being able to wander around and engage in my persona favorite gaming past-time of playing with broken AI to its advantage. Thief 2 > Thief 3 > Thief 1. Quote

Warby Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 i have played neither th1ef, 2hief nor thi3f ... so i am totally unexcited about thi4f Quote
Mazy Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 I am an absolutely COLOSSAL fan of Thief 1 and 2. Thief 3 had its moments but I just never connected quite as well with it as with 1 and especially 2. Anyway, huge responsibility to take on this franchise in my opinion, I heard some rumors a looong time ago about IO maybe picking it up at one point, which thrilled and scared the living shit outta me at the same time. But this is something that I'd much rather play than make, so good show! Hopefully you Montreal lads can pimp this thing up Oh and the 4th in the title better be a teaser kinda thing because its totally not working if you'd want people new to the series to understand it Quote
