May 2003: After another no show at E3, Take Two mentions in a financial results conference call that Duke Nukem Forever won't be out that year. George Broussard famously fires back by saying, "Take Two needs to STFU imo." He later adds, "Either we're absolutely stupid and clueless, or we believe in what we are working on. In the end, you guys will judge the final results."

January 2009: George Broussard shows Duke Nukem Forever to publisher Take Two. Rumours now suggest that this was around the time co-founder Scott Miller has stopped funding development, leading to the current crisis. Said rumours also suggest that George requested $5 million from Take Two to continue development.

In a perfect world Valve would pick up that IP and would open a development studio for it in europe.

Why doesn't Grin pick it up? We can wait another 10 years :)

I've been looking at all the "leaked" content, and it's no surprise they had a hard time making this game. It has so many crazy elements. Sure, if you make a game with lower than AAA production values it's possible but otherwise it's a nightmare. I might regret saying this one day but it looks to me like they where living on the legend and forgot to actually make a game. That afterall is what it's all about.

Epic fail on all fronts. Let a mod team make the bloody thing, it'll be better and save you the cost of a few private tropical islands.

Who cares about duke nukem. There are so many other games i want to see getting sequels:

Shadow Warrior (Soo fu**ing epic). Blood. X-Com UFO!

But sure, a new duke game would tickle my fancy.

Blood

Fuck yes, Blood was always the superior build game, Caleb > Duke.

"You're not gonna look so good with your face ripped off!"

Your face, your ass - what's the difference?
