skdr Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Finished it last night. Ending spoilers ahead. That's got to be the best videogame ending I've ever witnessed. The buildup to that end scene was so big. It was so emotional after all the father/son/mother missions. They were living a perfect life and now you could see it slide downhill. This setting really opens up possibilities for DLC to continue the story and hunt down the rest of the killers/agents. One of the best games I've played. Quote

This setting really opens up possibilities for DLC to continue the story and hunt down the rest of the killers/agents. One of the best games I've played. Aye, the entire idea with putting that "family time" segment at the end was brilliant. Looking at it, I bet it could easily have been something that was originally at the beginning of the game, and then shuffled towards the end for a stronger impact, but I figure that they knew what they were doing Made everything seems so much more clear and on your mind as opposed to something that'd happend some 20 hours ago. But yeah, also the entire build up to John's final scene was nothing short of perfection. It's probably the first time in like forever that I've heard the "I love you" line, between John and Abigail, being used with such a strong delivery and impact, and not feel clichêd beyond belief. Beyond that then it's just super ballsy to make Jack the end game character, even though I personally really don't dig his voice or looks, but I guess that is more a testament to how you grew to like John. Right now I'm just fooling around and completing all the challenges and stranger missions that I missed, but I'm doing it with my save game just before the last mission with John. Hope they have some good DLC planned~~ Quote
Evert Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Not too far into it, but fuck me is it fun. I felt like Bear Grylls when some animal killed my horse and I had to walk so god damn far in the wilderness. Quote
Taylor Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 I felt like Bear Grylls when, after surviving in the wilderness, I fast travelled back to town and slept in my room at the inn. Quote
