-HP-
Been a while we don't post anything. I've been very busy with some other stuff, but we're still in time to finish this! I'll submit out final entry next friday. For now, here's a prop I've finished today, the windshield! oh and here's the finished crane vehicle. unfortunately it was a bit rushed, still some smoothing groups error, and not very good texture but it will do. AlexM
VERY nice texturing on that last model there. I now see the value in colored reflection maps.

2d-chris
Does the aliens planet have lightning? not sure about the rules on adding anything not in the original frame though
acapulco
How are they supposed to have no light? Every Planet circles around a star and a star is a little lightsource... Or what do you mean? No lighting at all would be an unlit mess...
e-freak
Lightning is not lighting Lighting would be suns and bulbs and stuff, Lightning is the phase-difference-electric-pulse that is seen during thunderstorms or when you play with electronics. -HP-
Does the aliens planet have lightning? not sure about the rules on adding anything not in the original frame though I understand where you're trying to get buddy, but I don't really think lightning would fit this very well, I want it to look rainy and wet, not exactly a storm. DvS
Looks awesome. The tarp on the robot to the right looks more specular in the movie shot though.

Nurb
+1 one the more deep blue. But also get the brown/red material colors in there as a contrast. It's starting to look truly awesome
