-HP- Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 http://area.autodesk.com/index.php/blog ... _features/ Shitloads of modeling features and improvements for this new upcoming 3DsMax version. Many of them are not new, they were just available on plugins and stuff, but still It's nice to see it on the whole package. I like the new UI, where the tools and buttons are always in front of your eyes, not having to access menus to use them. Looks promising! Quote
Minos Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Nice shit! They could also merge mudbox with 3dsmax, now that would be sweet! Quote
robert.briscoe Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 finally, an upgrade worth a damn! Quote
kleinluka Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 god i hate maya. *misses max* Quote
Taylor Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 I fear this will only add to the problem that 3D Studio Max has been built like Ankh-Morpork, but for those familiar with it I'm sure it will be a great improvement. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Get polyboost and illusioncatalyst tools, and you can have all these modelling tools already! Good that autodesk is oficially integrating this stuff though, hopefully with better performance. But it looks like they are creating a lot of extra menus and buttons again. Hopefully it can all be customised, i like my max interface clean like this: Quote
Zacker Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Cool, for the last many max releases I along with most other people have far from been impressed with the amount of modelling additions. Or just any kind of real addition. I am using max 2008 on this computer but I doubt I would even notice if it was a few versioners older or newer. Quote
