sli-woody Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 dod_hillside_1944 It is the winter of 1944 and Allied troops are approaching the French village of Petite Forêt where the Axis has a battery of Flak 18 guns entrenched. To complicate matters, a C-47 transport aircraft carrying vital supplies for the Allies has force-landed on the outskirts of the village. Objectives The Allies have to secure their much needed supplies from the downed C-47. They then have to capture the centre of the village before advancing down the hill on the other side of Petite Forêt destroying the Tiger tank protecting the Flak 18 gun before capturing and destroying the gun itself. Axis troops have to defend the village at all costs and force the US Army back out of the village. They also seek to destroy the C-47 to deny the Allies their supplies - having first destroyed the Sherman tank defending it! e-freak Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Mood is pretty good on these screenshots (although the G-Mod posing (i assume you used gmod?) is a bit out of place). Gonna give it a try hopefully (not playing much DoDS anymore). Quote
-HP- Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Apart from the plane screenshot, all of them look really professional! GJ Quote

It clearly has helped the map look more interesting, showing the story is he trying to convey as well as his level work, Nice job! Quote
e-freak Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 I do prefer action shots or still images, because it never happened to me that one of the players on a DoD:S Server stopped by and started gesticulating. A well placed sniper how ever or a Machine-Gun Nest tell a story I'll experience ingame. Quote
sli-woody Posted February 18, 2009 Author Report Posted February 18, 2009 thx guys for the comments. ive had alot of positive response to the map and currently looking into future projects. i did do the screenshots with gmod simply to add models in positions tht i agree with. whilst they are there to add spice to the screenies, i dont think you should judge the map by the player models in the screenshots or the screenshots themselfs. [as most maps are] alot of time went into the map and its nice to see apprication. thx mapcore. SLi-WooDy Quote
