Sentura Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 has anyone tried this game? i just tried out the demo, and with the voice command it's actually pretty good fun. i'm thinking of picking it up. has anyone else tried it out? thoughts? Quote
-HP- Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 I don't like the genre! But it looks ok... Quote
Sentura Posted January 14, 2009 Author Report Posted January 14, 2009 i would say that without the voice commands i wouldn't be interested either, but to me it actually makes the game fun somehow. if you got the headset, you at least owe it to yourself to try out the demo, if only to get some use out of the headset for now.. -HP- Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Yeah, despite not being a fan of the genre like I previously said, I'm very interested in buying this for PS3. Since I'm working on a very similar game for PS3 (gameplay wise). Quote
jaboo224 Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 i love how its tom clancy's end war yet he had nothing to do with it. \: Quote
-HP- Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Yeah, they bought the rights of his name... amazine! Quote
dux Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Ooo, almost as good as company of heroes Quote
st0lve Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 I wish TC didn't abuse his name for games that got nothing in common with why it became famous within games anyway. hell, even most of the new FPS games with his name suck balls ass and doesn't really give you the feel of how he writes. Section_Ei8ht Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 He's really just letting people use his name for marketing purposes. To get a "Tom Clancy's" title on the game, it needs to be approved by him that the game has to be somewhat realistic, at least according to his personal standards, whatever they are. I remember reading an article about how Clancy didn't want to approve his name on Splinter Cell because he thought the tri-googles that Fisher wears were too unrealistic and impossible and it took Ubisoft like a month to convince him otherwise. Many of the games bearing the Clancy name have been very successful, spawning several sequels and expansions. It is unknown how much input Clancy actually has into the games. Quote
e-freak Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 that's been until a year or two ago. ubisoft bought full rights to the name and can no assign it to every title. it'd be possible to have Tom Clancy's Pony Farm 3 now but for obvious reasons ubisoft has an interest in keeping the franchise "clean" Quote
