dux Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 So I got my camera for Christmas and went to try it out. It's a Canon PowerShot SX110 IS. Obviously I'm still pretty new to Photography so don't expect anything too amazing now. I'm still learning how to use this Camera. New Pictures 31/12/08 Earlier Pictures 25/12/08 Quote
Punky Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Some great looking shots Dux, well done for one of your first sessions! Where did you take these photos? Quote
dux Posted December 26, 2008 Author Report Posted December 26, 2008 Down on one of the many, many local beaches on Christmas day while the food was getting cooked haha. Went for a strole earlier. Didn't take any more because it was too cold so went home. :monocle: Quote
cyberjunkie Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 The SX110 IS is a good point-n-shoot camera like the older SX100. Good choice - whoever bought it for you. The photos have come out well Quote
Minos Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 The last one of the first set is gorgeous Quote
dux Posted December 31, 2008 Author Report Posted December 31, 2008 Updated my first post with some new ones. :monocle: Quote
-HP- Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Amazing photos dux, I especially like the Macro ones! congratulations! Quote
Buddy Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 this blur is totally out of place. you better take a look at photos and when this blur appears. basically you get a stronger blur effect the higher the focal length is. you shots always have a 90° FOV so the focal length would be around 18mm which is too low. conclusion: stop this DOF shit if you don't know how and when.
