Nazul Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 euhm , slick , the lightning . HOW !? in gods name i got like : offlightcover over those lamps , so it looks like they're on , but if i place a "light" ent near it , it goes glowing like santa's suit , ive compiled it like 10 times with diff lightning tex and shit , but i can see what u have done really looks like you dont have a cover over the lights ? and a "light" with low properties. pffff. wasted 2 days on lightning in source ... h3lp Quote
brendank310 Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 my attempts at a mapcore iceworld: http://216.180.232.170/~tehrahns/brenda ... eworld.zip http://216.180.232.170/~tehrahns/brenda ... ld_vmf.zip i through it together pretty quickly, which is pretty obvious in the one seam of the terrain on the ground. the map doesnt have the weapons spawned, because im not sure how to include the ammo of the weapons, its pistol only. i thought that steam coming off the ice blocks would be cool, but i couldn't get it going. slicky Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 i used spot_light for the overhead lights, personally, i doubt if im really going to be using plain ol light entity anymore with the excellent features for spot_light they have now. Quote
xempest Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 You REALLY need to get some proper normal shading on that cube there... Quote
brendank310 Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 slicky, i tried using the spot light entity, but after compiling it didnt actually work. as for the center cube, i slapped on the measuring tape texture, but maybe someone could make a texture from the actual cube, because i can't import textures to source, my vtex isnt working. Spellbinder Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Would mapcore honestly have its logo in something so ugly? I mean, if it looked good it would be a whole other thing.. Are you sane? Its one of the most played map on pubs. Couse ppl find it fun. And he is remaking it to look better! Hence he posts in wip. And i agree with the logo in ice under the surface and maybe hockey lines painted on ice. Spellbinder. Quote
