Skjalg Posted November 11, 2004 Author Report Posted November 11, 2004 Well, after watching some videotutorials, i decided id try to make a radiator... I made one wheel, tried to copy it over, then merge the two together... Offcourse that didnt work, so i got frustrated, and beat the crap out of my keyboard... Then i tried making my bed.. made half, tried to copy it over, and merge again.. fucking shit didnt work this time either fucking hell piece of crap.... So i started messing around with smooth-stuff, on my barrel.. looks alot better now Finally i started making the lamp which stands beside my monitor... took me a couple of hours to finish it: polycount is around 500 (i think.. ) Quote

KIIIA Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 Would u mind , if i understand ur thread as some kind of a " First Model Thread" ? If you dont model anymore , it will die , and my model isn`t worth an own thread! If u disagree with that , let me know and i`ll remove the pic and post. Enough `bout that , my first model: C&C? Acumen Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 quite some polies could be saved on the blade. 2 things bugging me even more. the totally crazy colors on the model. god, how did you come up with these O_O second thing is the smoothing. Get some neutral colors and some nice assigend smoothing groups, tweak some unnecessary polies out of the blade and you're ready for uvmapping Quote
Rovient Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 Ok, so basicly, the slice tool is very fucked up and i should never ever touch it again (just like in hammer) ? Bah! How dare you! The clipping tool is by far the most useful tool in hammer, thank you very much! Blasphemy. Quote
