JAL
This got recently posted at Konami's website: http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/mgst/?ref=kjp_jp What do you guys think it means? There has already been a ridiculous amount of speculation spreading from an Xbox 360 Metal Gear to an iPhone title. My own guess is that they just got the greenlight to start making the next one. I know Hideo is sick of Metal Gear but Metal Gear Solid 4 was by far the best one of the series and it'd be a shame not to make more . Thrik
No idea what it is, but I'm looking forward to it whatever the case. Only problem is that MGS4 was so awesome, it's hard to imagine how they can top it without compromising the way everything was nicely tied together, etc. I mean, the story of Solid Snake has pretty much nowhere to go so it'd have to either be an alternative character or be like MGS3 and go back in time somewhat. I do suspect this'll turn out to not be a Metal Gear Solid 5, but some kind of side title like we've seen before. MGS is such a strong property though, I reckon a proper MGS5 will happen — and Kojima will undoubtedly be unable to resist being involved. Furyo
I'm expecting huge hordes of X360 fanboys telling us it means they're going multiplatform
Taylor
It'll just read "grammatically unsound." During one of story sequences it mentions events from the previous games, the visual is someone scrolling through a PS3-style XMB with all the Metal Gear games in it, with two blank titles under MGS4 with "to be decided" (or something) written on them. I wouldn't be surprised if the xbots are out in full force. I've just read 4 pages of comments about how Killzone 2 is going to be the most rubbish game ever released because a sand bag texture is arguably inferior to some of the textures in Gears of War 2. Yeah.
-HP-
A MGS for Xbox?! Rotfl... never in the world! Besides, the power light on that pic is green!
Thrik
Well, to be fair MGS2 did come out on the Xbox. I wouldn't mind if it came out on the 360 because it's an awesome game and I'd love for everyone to have experienced it. Unfortunately it's a game you can't really enjoy anywhere near as much if you haven't played the preceding three titles, because MGS4 is probably the ultimate example of a 'fan service' game that goes well out of its way to play with your nostalgic emotions, etc, and relies upon a thorough knowledge of the previous games' stories for the plot to make an ounce of sense. sarge mat
I would say its unlikely the next Metal Gear won’t be on 360. It would mean a LOT more money and build a bigger fan base for the game. Good for everyone, apart from Sony.
Jetsetlemming
I don't think it's MGS5, and I don't think it's a 360 port of MGS4. The url is "mgst", which a lot of people are assuming is "Metal Gear Solid: Tactics", which would then presumably be another PSP MGS game. MGS2 got Xbox and PC ports, but MGS3 was sony only, as is MGS4 thus far and for the foreseeable future. I think Sony bought Kojima an island to keep him loyal. It's kinda a shame, too. I was wondering the other day what it would be like if Kojima made a PC exclusive game designed to take advantage of the platform. After seeing all the intricate awesome shit introduced with MGS3, I'd think it would end up pretty goddamn awesome.

I noticed that, but I was thinking more along the lines of 'teaser'.
-HP-
Well, I've read somewhere that Hideo Child's loved portables MGS's more than the "normal" ones. So I wouldn't be surprised if this was a PSP/Iphone game.
