-HP- Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Funny nobody mentioned this lately... Maybe because it's a PS3 exclusive?! Anyways, technologically this is the SHIT, It's amazing seeing the work these guys did with a console where there's a lot more limitations than PC's. Here's some of the latest screenshosts, and 12 preview videos released yesterday! be amazed! Some more media links on this gaf thread: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/42076.html Quote
Punky Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 I remember playing Killzone for hours and hours on the PS2, and it was my favorite game, maybe even still is, I simply love the graphics and gameplay of Killzone 2, one negative point is though, WHY IS IT PS3 ONLY???!!! If it would come out for PC I'd buy it ASAP I don't have a PS3 or a Xbox 360 because well, I'm a PC gamer... also; WTF at this screenshot? Quote
Thrik Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Looks like this is going to be a pretty nice game. Sony's got a lot riding on it, and there's a lot of pressure for it to deliver in the graphics department. I think there's a high probability it'll be a good play. Quote
-HP- Posted December 4, 2008 Author Report Posted December 4, 2008 also; WTF at this screenshot? That's the sniper class on Multiplayer, he can cloak like the Spy on TF2! <3 MP on this game will also own! It's highly inspired on TF2 mechanics. I'm gonna buy a USB keyboard, so I can play this game PC style on my PS3. Quote
Sentura Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 i still don't get why people make fps games on consoles. joypads are horrendous to use as a mouse :\ Quote
Thrik Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 It's kind of just a comfort thing, really. I certainly wouldn't ever substitute my PC when it comes to proper competitive gaming like TF2, but sometimes it's nice to just relax in a big, soft chair and enjoy a linear single-player console FPS — especially when many of today's single-player FPS games seem to generally be better optimised or exclusively for consoles. With that said, the PS3 does support a mouse and keyboard for those that can't live without them. I don't think they even have to be official Sony ones; I know some Logitech ones work, at least. -HP- Posted December 4, 2008 Author Report Posted December 4, 2008 Every keyboard works as long as it's USB, obliviously. So do mouses. Quote
Sentura Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 i know; however i have heard that neither keyboard nor mouse are compatible with games. this is what has made me not want to buy a wireless keyboard/mouse for console gaming. Quote
st0lve Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 lol ps3 only. sure it will be a hit for ps3, but for everyone else it doesn't matter. Quote
Corwin Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 i still don't get why people make fps games on consoles. joypads are horrendous to use as a mouse :\ Agreed, I missed plenty of FPS because they were on console. I played Killzone on PS2, great game, but would have been so much better on PC. I mean, I'm trying, but I still can't aim right with a controller. I spend most of my time adjusting the aim. Quote
Thrik Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Not sure what point you're trying to make st0lve, but let's not turn this into a silly anti-whatever thread, please — this is about Killzone 2. Sentura, the game support is entirely dependent on the game itself. I have no idea off hand which games have been designed to support a keyboard/mouse, but I do know from personal experience that Unreal Tournament 3 is one that does. Quote
JAL Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Gameplay and graphics wise it looks excellent, and by excellent I mean like Gears of War without the 250 pound steroid freaks as main characters. Quote
jaboo224 Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 game looks floppin awesome... but ps3 exclusive :'( Quote
jaboo224 Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 tbh IR this is one of my dream games. its got everything i want in a game. Movie like cinematics, Gritty warfare, immersive world, first person action that is fluid, and a nice multiplayer base. I absolutely love the art style. bugs the shit out of me that its ps3 only tho grrrrr! Quote
