Youme Posted December 3, 2008 Author Report Posted December 3, 2008 If by 'fix' you mean 'make not square' then yes I've already done that and all the cliffs in _b1 are displaced properly, those screenshots were taken just before I went around in a blitz and worked on the cliffs. 2vids - The 'release' of hoodoo hasn't happened yet, I'm going to put _b5 out soon and that will almost certainly be the final beta release before the final version that might arrive mid January. There are a few servers running it already, I can't name any though, theres usually somewhere between 0 and 2 servers running it when I've looked, usually with a total player count of 0 - all very encouraging...heh Quote

It's good to see you're following up on your posts in numerous forums - word of mouth will eventually get around Yeah, it seems getting stuck in to various places really pays off, the more places I can get good discussion going on about it the more feedback and opinions I can get on it, which helps me improve it Already quite a few things are coming to light, most of which I hope to have addressed by _b2 as soon as possible. A smaller filesize should allow me to update much more frequently than with hoodoo too. Quote

Changelog for those interested: Beta 2 released 13/12/08:- * Revised layout in a few places. * Slightly adjusted respawn timers for Red team. * Added and moved a few ammo packs. * Many detailing improvements over the entire map. * Added an extra dynamic sign to help direct new players in the right direction. * Fleshed out the 3D skybox. * Added observer points for each capture point. * Improved playerclipping. * Hopefully fixed an issue with spawn doors trapping players. * Fixed a problem where a door brush would prevent players moveing above it. * Properly aligned all displacement textures.
