D3ads Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 In TF, it's no secret that Jack was involved in the Vietnam war, so I'm looking for lots of inspiration and references via films. So far I've got: Full Metal Jacket Apocalypse Now Platoon Hamburger Hill The Deer Hunter What I want to know is are there any other good films about Vietnam missing from those titles? I've heard of 'Causalties Of War' but the fact it has Michael J Fox in it puts me off a bit, anyone seen that? Any other titles you can recommend? Thanks in advance Quote
Minos Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Full Metal Jacket and Apocalypse Now are one of the best films ever Love the opening scene in Apocalypse Now with the doors playing on the background http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ADTPYAEi80 Quote
D3ads Posted November 29, 2008 Author Report Posted November 29, 2008 Yes, it's an excellent intro! I just remembered 'Born On The Forth Of July' and as a related horror note 'Jacob's Ladder', both of which I've never watched Quote
