e-freak Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 i like it, but the weapon animation doesn't seem to reflect the heaviness of the gun. looks more like the tmp in counter-strike than a bfg. Quote
Buddy Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 Looks sweeet! This reminds me of Gunman Chronicles somehow. Quote
Zyn Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 Insert pew pew video here That gun angle annoys the crap out of me. "Brb, shooting the wall to the left of me". Quote
Gloglebag Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 Also what is it called when the weapons waits slightly before moving in the direction of the mouse, it makes it look more organic and not as stiff as in that video? Quote
dux Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 Also what is it called when the weapons waits slightly before moving in the direction of the mouse, it makes it look more organic and not as stiff as in that video? An annoying delay that shouldn't be in multiplayer games Quote

An annoying delay that shouldn't be in multiplayer games No, not that. It's purely visual thing. Source engine games have this. When you look right the weapon kind of "sways" to the position after the mouse movement. Quote

The more it looks and feels like a weapon, and by weapon I mean a 7 kg heavy, unhandy, shitty thing that you have to wield 24/7 in a war scenario, the better. Quote
dux Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 Here comes the realism over gameplay argument Quote
Erratic Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 If it doesn't affect your aiming who cares. Reminds me of those shitheads who turn the first person model off. Quote
skdr Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 Here comes the realism over gameplay argument IMO, nothing to do with realism, at least not for me. It's a purely visual thing that adds to the overall feel of the game. Weapon bobbing is one of them. Quote
dux Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 I turn weapon bobbing and viewmodel off when I can, gets distracting and I enjoy it more without. Quote
dux Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 /edit youtube link with proper editing that we did ourselves. First ingame footage has been released, surprised no one posted it yet. My sections are the shooting the skulk with machine gun and gorge running around in 3rd person for fun. Quote
