Low
Fable 2 just came out this Tuesday and I need a discussion about it stat. I looked for a thread about it but didn't find one so I took the liberty of opening one. I've only played it for about 2 hours now, but so far it's pretty great. Finally got out of the first tutorial stages and into the real game and it feels just like the old one (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). I spose I don't have much to offer right now, but you can bet I will be playing it extensively tonight. Think I'm going to play through the game twice, first time as an evil character and second time as a good character. It always seemed to be easier in the first game to be evil, you didn't have to worry about killing innocent people or doing the wrong thing. First, and only thing so far, I've found wrong with the game is during the training stages there is a chest that can only be unlocked by going to fable2.com and watching some movie... Kind of found this to be stupid, I don't know. Annnnnnnd discuss.

FrieChamp
I watched the Gamespot review today and will read a few more. I'm definitely interested, but I finally borrowed Mass Effect from a friend and I wanna dig deeper into this first. I don't have anything against consoles but what I noticed is that you need a huge TV (which I don't have) to play comfortably when you sit on your couch. So i usually end up buying the PC version if there is one
-HP-
Well, you don't need a huge plasma TV, but a decent TFT with HD (preferably 1080p) is a must to enjoy this current gen console games.
Low
Yeah, I spose, I do have a decent sized HDTV, so I don't really have this problem. The game looks pretty stunning, I've always really liked Fable's art style and color variety. It really stands out against a the crowd of gray and bland looking next gen games that seem to be turned out quite often these days.

-HP-
I know, that's why I said "preferably", because some of them do support 1080p, like Wipeout HD. Plus, It's really awesome to watch Blu-Ray movies on 1080p, way better than cinema screens! imo
sarge mat
I am really enjoying it so far, the world is a really interesting place to run around in with loads to do. The Dog is a really neat addition and works really well, apart from the odd time when he won’t follow you correctly It feels very British as too. dux
It feels very British as too. I'm glad of that. As the first one had a great British feel to it, too. Was getting sick of all these American and Jap oriented games.
Sentura
I watched the Gamespot review today and will read a few more. So i usually end up buying the PC version if there is one even with a good quality HD tv, i still prefer pc versions of a game if only for immersion. console games are just... different. i can't explain it properly. And yes, the dog is a wonderful addition to the game, I like how he finds treasure for you. Plus I like the fact they made the game a little more open in design instead of having so many linear paths and load screens.
