Sorry for the gravedig, but there’s no better topic until more info is available.

Remedy has announced the development of an Alan Wake TV Show!

I’d watch that!

Would have been better if they announced that they purchased the music licenses again.

"For its first half-year period of 2019, Remedy Entertainment Plc records approximately 2.5 million euros of royalties from previously released games as one-time income. The royalties are paid to Remedy during the second half-year period of 2019. In relation to this, the publishing rights of Alan Wake games are reverted to Remedy."

"In July 2018, Remedy CEO Telo Virtala stated that any further sequels to Alan Wake would require Microsoft Studios' approval as the publishing rights holder, though Remedy otherwise owns all other IP rights to the series. Virtala stated: "Considering our history... Alan Wake was really interesting but it was a collaboration with Microsoft. Due to certain reasons, it never got a sequel."[125] Director of communications Thomas Puha stated in April 2019 that Remedy had briefly returned to work on an Alan Wake property about two years prior, but the effort did not work out, and the company is presently booked for the next few years, between their own new game Control, supporting Smilegate on its game CrossFire, and another new project. Puha said that the only limited factor for them to work on an Alan Wake sequel was "time, money, and resources"."

Can’t believe this cult gem is already 10 years old!!

i preordered the collector’s edition before I had the Xbox I think, so much faith I had in Remedy ❤️

Tempted to open a streaming account myself and finally play the upgraded PC version. I’ve seen/read a few people streaming just so they can refer to their play through for design analysis

Damn, this is legit making me wanna boot up the game once more. Cult classic is the perfect description of this gem of a game.

Oh and yeah, I also got the collectors back when it came out. It's a beautiful big black book, that doesn't fit anywhere, ahah.

Sam Lake has some writing skills! I remember the short novel he wrote as Alan Wake was really good -- I actually thought he should do more of that than scripts (my first play I was disappointed)

Any aspect was your favourite? Any particular standout in the game/level design?

The immersion I had in the universe they gave me.
This was in a unusual location at this time (a location I always loved and where I would like to discover in real live), the story was good, the character too (not a badass guy, not a common hero we can find everywhere), funny pnj and partner, the gameplay wasn't bad at all ; I liked this idea to play with the lights, the shadows, how to use it to kill an enemy,...

I lived a cool adventure with this game.

      Hello everybody!
I'm creating a map (based on the Maginot Line) for the Wingman's Contest - provided by Source Engine's Discord.

I started the map 3 weeks ago and I'm on the detailing phase, slowly progreeding area by area, worried with the time left. I decided to follow this strategy: detail 75% of every area and after that (and gaining some time) I'd put some final touches + polishment + optimization.

I wonder, should I keep doing it in a hurry or is it better to make it with no rush and patience (losing the deadline)? There's still a lot to do and I'd like to hear your opinions...
