Gotta be the slowest download from steam ever, crawling at 40kb/s, usually get 400!

just keep your machines running and restart steam from time to time. They have already extended bandwith to more than 70 gigabytes per second.

Just played with my friend but had to stop because you can't can't change the fov above 90 so he got really sick. Was good fun for the 20 mins we played.

I take it its all about the MP action, seeing as I just played the single player campaign, on the hardest setting and didn't get anywhere near dieing.

Will have to play some MP another time, not keen on the menu, very "consolified".

This new matchmaking system isn't cutting it, imo. It either connected me to a laggy server or ended up asking me if I wanted to host the game.

Ended up just using hte old school browser, worked 100x better.

So far either noone has voice or I join a game that has one guy using it and telling everyone they are idiots. I'm now patiently awaiting my friends to get their hands on the demo/game, then the game will be a blast.

The game has been crashing on me frequently... anyone else having problems?

edit: I was having the download issue as well, I had to pause and resume it a few times to start the dl up again because it kept on hanging up.

Turns out the rumors regarding L4D being taxing as fuck on servers are wrong. A Dual CPU server with 8 GB RAM and linux can run 40 instances of L4D, supporting 120-140 players.
