Mazy Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Cool teaser, although I kinda hate these teasers that are a snippet of a full trailer. Just release the damn full trailer . But I'm filled with a mixture of hype and scepticism about this one, but mainly hype Plus with Luka on board, how can it fail~~ Quote
Warby Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 FUCK YEAH that trailer is awsome ! havent played a good cyberpunk game since shadow run on the snes ! its about time for cyberpunk to come back with a splash ( you guys better deliver ! ) Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 You could tell that trailer was made by the Final Fantasy CGI dudes pretty easily, But still, cool aug design. This line in particular in the article, "we are returning to an inventory system reminiscent of the first game", makes me pretty happy. We don't get nearly enough games that let you carry around a customizable arsenal. In DX1 I tended to roll with a laser sword, a GEP gun, a sawed off shotgun, a wrist mounted crossbow, and a sniper rifle, and that was only like a third of the weapons in the game. Also, as an aside, man IGN is unprofessional as always. That question about why DX3's a prequel should've been edited, or replaced. Surely somebody not a douchebag asked something along those lines. Although, in response to the response, there's all that time between DX1 and 2 where a game could fit. I've always wanted to see Deus Ex's world immediately after DX1 ended, assuming DX2's setup of all three endings in their own way occuring. That'd be some pretty heavy shit. Quote
-HP- Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 I just read the whole Q&A article, awesome awesome awesome stuff! I am really happy with it. It actually sounds like they understand what DeusEx1 really is and what DeusEx3 should be. So yeah, as a self claimed hadcore DeusEx1 fan, I'm hyped for this and with relatively high hopes. Quote
Jenn0_Bing Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Oh man I'm looking forward to this even more now, exciting trailer and some great news. Quote
Gloglebag Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Despite what they say it's very unlikely it's gonna be more like the first, it makes no sense considering the direction of the industry nor the direction SE has taken. And even if it was, I doubt it would satisfly the cult of deus ex. But I'll be happy if it is like the second, as that was still a very good game, much more engaging then most games that came out the same year. Quote
-HP- Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 But I'll be happy if it is like the second, as that was still a very good game lirl Quote

deceiver Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 Just read this article on Kotaku about the art direction: http://kotaku.com/5491544/how-deus-ex-3 ... s-disaster The game's looking very nice art-wise! Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 glad you like the trailer =D~ more to come soooooonnnn Yo Klein, hope you do something about weapons soon I want to know what DX1 weapons were available in 2025 (Better be the GEP gun!) Quote
deceiver Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 Probably just proof of concept for the futuristic setting, it is easier for the concept artist to go from ref/photo and paintover. That's what Thierry Doizon was saying at a concept art conference at MIGS, gotta make quality concepts the fastest way possible...so paintovers of photos, geometry, etc are a must he said. Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 So Montreal then?! When I read in that ign interview that the game starts in Detroit I laughed pretty hard. Is there no end to the Robocop similarities? Will Jensen have an ex-wife he stalks because he still loves her but she rejects his now machine nature? Will the main bad guy be that guy from That 70's Show and say "Bitches, Leave" at some point in the game? Will a Milbot shoot up an executive boardroom in the game's climax? Will there be a subplot about the company who designed/installed Jensen's robo-bits wanting to pave over the Detroit slums for high class development? Deus Ex 3: "I'd buy that for a dollar!" Quote
