Warby Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 usualy i am all on the "games dont need to be fuckign brown" bandwagon but here i disagree massively it looks awesome and i dont want them to change even the tinyies bit about it ! Quote
skdr Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Just realised, it reminds me greatly of Dark Knight's trailer. Voices and music etc. Really good. Quote
Minos Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Gotta agree with Stepp on this one. The art assets look so good, why slap a dull brown filter on top of everything It's not like discussing this on a forum is going to change anything but hey How come the game went from this: To this? The brown filter kind of looks good on exterior scenes, but it really kills the TV station one for me /pets luka~ Quote
MJ Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 looks decent do i have to play the other games to understand it fully? Quote
Furyo Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 I guess I'll be the guy that sounds like he's taking a piss on the parade, but you guys have to realize that both trailers were done by Square Enix Japan and have nothing to do with the game or even its team. I do want to see the actual game, but I would definitely go see the movie these trailers are for, cause that's all I'm seeing here. For all the cool moves, nice story telling and introduction of characters this shows, I want to see a team pulling these moves off in a comprehensive game design. E3 can't come any sooner Quote
Thrik Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Holy shit! Looks awesome. I definitely got some of the Blade Runner vibes, though weirdly also a bit of the Batman atmosphere too. Must be because of the similar music and the fact the main guy sounds like Christian Bale doing his Batman voice. Quote
jaboo224 Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 I like the trailer... its very aesthetically pleasing but so far the screenshots are ok... From what i see is a strong narative and character setup which i hope the final product will have Quote
Steppenwolf Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 How come the game went from this: To this? In the concept they have this bit of blue stuff on these laboratory things which serves as complimentary color to yellow. It's like the most basic rule of color theory and that really is all that is necessary to break up the monochromatic look. And a few white (or almost white) light sources would bring out the textures much better and help to add more depth to the scene. And it's not that in a night city you have to rely on yellow light sources for realism sake. Quote

Although, the trailers are jam-packed full of little details that make the fan boys go rabid. It's not like Square-Enix's CG department has made them in a vacuum. Quote

jaboo224 Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 So what if this game was made on cryengine? Quote
