2d-chris Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 The problem is due to allot of server admins not updating their servers for the new steam release. Theres always going to be a transition period where things get a little messed up. Quote

tofu Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Dystopia 1.2 and Eternal Silence are available through Steam now too. Nice emphasis Very cool to see Dystopia make it in, the spit and polish these guys have had since day one has been awesome. Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I played Eternal Silence when it first came out and didn't like it at all. The ship to ship combat was decent but super simplistic, but the landing on foot parts was where it was totally horrible. You die as fast as a Counterstrike guy in ES, and the enemy team can really easily camp the hanger and kill you before you get your bearings when you exit out your ship- and if you do manage to kill a few, the respawn right there in the hanger, or near it. Has that changed any? Also I really hope this move gets Dystopia a good player base. Its old one was fucking awful. "YOU SUCK, NEW PLAYER, GTFO OUR MOD *bemoans there's only half a dozen Dystopia players*" Quote

"YOU SUCK, NEW PLAYER, GTFO OUR MOD *bemoans there's only half a dozen Dystopia players*" Haha, funny that you mention this. You probably can't imagine that in a critical situation in which you lose the current objective, one of the new guys is "exploring" the map.. You should see it this way. But for 1.2 there is a brand new new-player-guide for everyone who wants to kick some ass. http://www.dystopia-game.com/newplayerguide.php Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 When I don't know a map in a multiplayer game, I just follow around my teammates and help them shoot enemies and stay out of the way. I fared poorly anyway. Quote
