Steppenwolf Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 ":lw4g86kl]In portugal, Crysis costs 19,95€. Warhead, costs 29,95€. wow steam, so basically the less the people in a country earn in average the cheaper it gets? Thats really cool for the people on poor countrys but WTF is this based on? Thats a fucking scam if you ask me. edit: didn't saw your prices is in euro. But still if its that much more expensive in germany my point remains... Quote
-HP- Posted September 13, 2008 Author Report Posted September 13, 2008 Warhead, on amazon costs £14.98 (18.9€ Plus shipping, of course) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Electronic-Arts ... 062&sr=8-2 On my way to order it! Quote

Jetsetlemming Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 I wanna leave this country now!!! Anybody in a country where they're available can buy 'em and send them to you on Steam as a gift, you know. Quote
2d-chris Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Real fun game, it kicks ass Loved the refinements, such as not needing to press use on the weapons/ammo to pickup ammo. It's the small changes that streamline warhead, not to mention the slight humor added. I'm happy to see this on steam, afterall it's published by EA who have their own digital transfer system ... Would assume this is something to do with Valve and EA's co-operation. Quote
e-freak Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 no. just the contracts passed out yesterday that crytek sells exclusively via the EA Partners program Quote
FrieChamp Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Good interview worth reading: http://www.shacknews.com/featuredarticle.x?id=999 Quote
-HP- Posted September 15, 2008 Author Report Posted September 15, 2008 We bought the components, which were back then like $700, and built a PC, and that was the platform we used for all presentations, milestones, new features, everything had to run on that machine as a benchmark. Because we have in the editor, all kinds of smart things which tell you that you've exceeded the budget, but the problem with designers and artists is that they don't care. [laughs] oh, but of course, go blame on the artists now! Quote
Erratic Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Picked it up, played for an hour or so. Seems to run worse than the original on about the same settings, which kinda struck me as odd considering all this optimization talk (does changing the low-med-high settings to mainstream-gamer-enthusiast count as optimization?) though the lighting in some of the first couple areas does look better than the original. The second rainy mission feels wet everywhere, very cool. Auto weapon pick ups straight up suck, give me back manual pick up. Seriously. Also, what the fuck is with this Gamespy shit? I though their relevancy had long since expired. Creating login accounts is goddamn annoying, PC games have to quit this shit. Quote
dux Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Gamespy? Ugh I can't stand that thing! It's still crysis so I'll pick it up when I gots me some spare monies. Quote

2d-chris Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 I liked the auto pickup ammo I didn't check in the options (played at crytek) is there an option to enable/disable? Quote
