kleinluka Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 Can you guys post your scores and your spec? I think something's wrong with my puter. (and it's brand new). I have a P4 3.0 GHz, Ati Radeon x800, 1GB DDR Ram ~2600 points, average framerate of ~12 (wtf) Quote
skdr Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 Do you have Anti-aliasing set on in Ati's preferences? Do you have AGP 8x? Oh and hey klein Coming home this weekend Quote
Mazy Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 4500 something with the drivers that came with my computer, havent bothered installing newer drivers yet, and apparently those r supposed to make it run alot better on ATI cards But that score is really low considering that you got a pretty good computer luka, my computer is a fx-53, x800 xt wiff 2gb dual chan ram, and that isnt really that much better than urs, so it cud look like something isnt right D: wut x800 card u got? skdr Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 Was the computer pre-installed with all the software or did you do the work yourself? If you did it yourself: - Do you have latest BIOS drivers / motherboard drivers - Do you have latest gfx card drivers? (catalyst 4.10? / Omega drivers) - Do you have latest DirectX? (9.0c - comes with WinXP SP2) Make sure you have Anti-aliasing set to "Application Preference" in Ati-driver settings. Same with Anistropic filtering (sp?) Quote
kleinluka Posted October 26, 2004 Author Report Posted October 26, 2004 got my pc assembled for free. I installed all the latest drivers. My ATi Catalyst control panel (CLi.exe) crashes on reboot and whenever i try to open it manually (invalid parameter blah blah). I don't see the ATI icon in the icon bar. It's a fresh install of windows too. Quote
cyberjunkie Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 Uninstall the drivers with CCC and get the 4.10 without CCC. Your error should stop. make sure you have your motherboard drivers installed as well. Quote
kleinluka Posted October 27, 2004 Author Report Posted October 27, 2004 whats CCC edit: i needed the dot.net framework for windows, catalyst is working now, but still runs just as slow in 3dmark. I think it might be my cpu that is overheating (I got a warning once). Quote
skdr Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 CCC = cat control center CCC is crap, useless, ram eater. Dont use it. If they assemble your pc, it doesnt mean that they install the drivers for you. My guess is that you have default drivers in pretty much every case. Motherboard, soundcards, bios etc. Find out what version of motherboard you have and update it asap. Same with bios. Quote
kleinluka Posted October 27, 2004 Author Report Posted October 27, 2004 hello, i have all the latest drivers like I said. I downloaded them from the website. Actually THEY downloaded them for me too and put them on CD. All my drivers are up to fucking-date. Quote
Kreigore Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 Get a free computer supervisor program thingy (http://www.google.com) then you can moniter ur cpu temp in windows while you run stuff. Maybe you should invest in better cooling (if the temperature is the problem that it) Quote
von*ferret Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 is 3764 good? I couldn't get into the statistics of everyones computer when I did it. Quote
Kreigore Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I think thats good in the newer versions. Quote
