so anyway, im confused, isnt bungee owned by microsoft and they made the first 12 versions? why would they have another studio develop it?

Bungie are doing new IP aren't they? and as Gearbox ported Halo to PC I guess they are the next best developers to go to.

On a related note, can someone tell my why the hell Halo got so popular? It was a mediocre game at best, and Timesplitters was far and away the better console FPS all around.

i dont really see much of a relationship between porting and developing a new game....oh wait its halo, yeah i guess the sequel will just be a port with the next number in sequence.
