brendank310 Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 i had the same problem at one time, i was about to lose all work and source for a medal of honor mod. i booted up linux with a recovery cd, and then ftp'ed the stuff to my xbox. im sure you could ftp it to anything though. Quote
Kreigore Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 When my hdd got borked all I did was a reboot and then windows didnt find my HDD, then when i tried to access the HDD all it wanted was to fomrat it :\. So i took out the HDD and placed it in a freinds computer and then we used Easy recovery in it and i got back about 80% of all my webpages and just about all my mapping stuff (expect for all my RMFs bye bye de_fender) So my advise is, get the files before its too late. Skjalg Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 when EVERYTHING is fucked, just follow these easy steps -turn off your computer (no hitting!!) -take out your harddrive -beat the shit out of your little brother so you can use his computer -Set you harddrive to SLAVE, insert into his computer -Boot his shitty computer up, copy all the files you need over to his harddrive (threatening to beat the crap out of him again if he tampers with it) -Format your own harddrive -Take the your formated drive back into your computer, now as MASTER -Boot up with a win98, "start the computer with cd-rom" then take out the win98 cd, insert the winxp one, go into X:\I386\, and type WINNT... WHABANG! -Follow the installation crappy winxp innstal.. (always use a craxed key, its leik... PAY FOR WINXP? AHAHHAHAHA) :P:P This is only if everything fux... (using NTFS) If you use something else, and can reach dos somewhere, you dont need to beat the crap out of your brother... Quote
