-HP- Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/techn ... 540623.stm Holy shit, death sentence for this guy!? They don't fuck around on Thailand do they? Police claim the 18-year-old confessed to stealing the taxi and said he killed the 54-year-old driver after he fought back. The teenager could face the death penalty if he is found guilty. Bangkok police Captain Veerarit Pipatanasak said: "He wanted to find out if it was as easy in real life to rob a taxi as it was in the game. Quote
dux Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Good. Beats crowding up the prisons even more. Dumb idiot. Quote
Thrik Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 At least they didn't just take a small fine and then let him back out onto the streets after going on a mass murder throughout the whole city. Quote
Jetsetlemming Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 They didn't ban the game, Thailand's largest game retailer pulled it from store shelves. Big difference. Quote
2d-chris Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 According to the article, the guy didnt actually have the game? Still, I guess he could have played it around a friends. The point here really, is one not of game related violence but a nutter influenced by what happened to be a game, he had as much chance of running out of a hardware shop with twin miniguns trying to act the scene from terminator2. This is why the news died as fast as it has, just another nutter. Quote
