zaphod Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 there is a article on gamespy about vampire: here and some new screens from the chinatown hub of the game. They finally released some screenshots from one of the favorite levels that I did, although they aren't vary well taken, and they are compressed to hell. here is all the pictures: link and here are the pictures from the level I was talking about: http://pcmedia.gamespy.com/pc/image/art ... 623935.jpg http://pcmedia.gamespy.com/pc/image/art ... 632247.jpg http://pcmedia.gamespy.com/pc/image/art ... 641481.jpg http://pcmedia.gamespy.com/pc/image/art ... 650340.jpg http://pcmedia.gamespy.com/pc/image/art ... 638185.jpg http://pcmedia.gamespy.com/pc/image/art ... 635513.jpg Quote
GrayFox Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 Hehe, nice. I will master the katana with my vampire Quote
ctswin Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 woot bloodlines nice to see more of it Quote
Sa74n Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 i spotted hl2 props : sadly it doesnt look as atmospheric as i had hoped it would be .. but well - these are just some (as you said -> badly taken) screenshots. the fog looks like the hl1 one and there arent many shadows. anyway - cool stuff Quote
zaphod Posted October 19, 2004 Author Report Posted October 19, 2004 actually, there is no hl2 art content in the game, save for possibly a water shader, or some other environmental effects. Quote
von*ferret Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 that railing satan pointed out nearly disaperas Quote
Tequila Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 actually, there is no hl2 art content in the game, save for possibly a water shader, or some other environmental effects. Isn't that bended lamp used in the CS:S version of Office? Not that I mind if it is, it just looks similar. Quote
zaphod Posted October 19, 2004 Author Report Posted October 19, 2004 yes, but it's actually stolen from bloodlines. css office was done by macman, who worked on bloodlines up untill earlier this year. Quote
zaphod Posted October 19, 2004 Author Report Posted October 19, 2004 that railing satan pointed out nearly disaperas yea, becuase the people that took the screenshots have no idea what anistropic filtering is also, the fog in bloodlines, and in hl2 - is the same hl1 fog. Quote
Sa74n Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 oh ... okay. everything excused maybe you should try using huge (animated) particles additionally to have the fog appear somewhat dynamic and not as static as in hl1/2 ? did i mention that most characters look excellent ? wewt Quote
zaphod Posted October 19, 2004 Author Report Posted October 19, 2004 the time for altering any art in the game is far past, we are done working on the game. I'm glad you like the characters, a lot of people say they pale in comparison to hl2's, which on a case by case basis, they do for the most part. However we have litterally hundreds of unique characters. I wish we would have had 4 years to focus on making a handfull of characters look awesome *sigh* Quote
tnoh Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 I like those gore effects. Well done! Quote
Tequila Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 yes, but it's actually stolen from bloodlines. css office was done by macman, who worked on bloodlines up untill earlier this year. You learn something everyday. Another plus point of HL2 being released: Bloodlines can be unleashed. Let the good times roll! Quote
Evert Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 mm cool. Like the looks of those screenshots a lot, bet it'll be awesome ingame. Quote
