PhilipK Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 Not bad at all. It's a bit weak on contrast imo and the beams in the middle seems like they are a bit too round even if they're supposed to not have sharp edges it still looks a bit too smooth now. Also try to keep scratches and such things not go over beavled areas like i.e. in the top left where a white scratch goes all the way over 3 of those dark grey paddings. It ruins the depth feel. Overall it has a nice detail level anyhow. Good job. Quote
Nysuatro Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=373024 It can help Quote
Defrag Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 Had another go at that concrete texture and took a different route: Quote

Grinwhrl Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 Thanks for the link Nysuatro, good tut. Defrag, nice texture Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 So you are making textures now defrag ? nice shit dude, sweet palet of colors and it tiles pretty well, if it was me, i'll just add some more sharping Quote
Defrag Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 I've always dabbled KoKo, just never given enough effort to produce anything decent Mapping is tying up my time a lot atm so it's just a nice distraction. Quote
General Vivi Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 i made these after playing resident evil for a bit. God i love resident evil 4 . such a great game. heres the wall texture heres the floor texture ingame shot cc are welcome Quote
von*ferret Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 very contrasty and grungy. Maybe the style you're going for. Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 i like it other than the fact that you could colorize the picture with brown and not notice any difference Quote
Grinwhrl Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 Vivi, thats looking very hot, some of the textures look a bit streched ormaybe lowres, could be your vid card though, but not a big deal. I really like the texture theme. Quote
FMPONE Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 Some dark red pipes or color-contrasting phys props or basically anything to break the artificial brown monotone would help the scene As for the textures themselves, they work really well for what you're trying to do Quote
