csharp Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 much better e: BTW, it still need more color :S Quote
Acumen Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 looks really noisy/grainy, Nysuatro. and it looks like you used the photoshop texturefilter with some standard settings. the black outline doesnt do too much benefit to the texture as well, imo :/ and the colors are really dull. could be a tad more powerful, i think. moreover i can't really tell what kind of material that grey thing is. could be concrete, metal, and so on.... i don't know, i don't like the texture overall, sry Quote
Nysuatro Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 Yeah i am not happy with it eather. SO i just made an other one But thx for the comments Quote
Quakis Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Three quite basic textures I made using more photo resource, the third one took quite a bit of time working with those bricks and the grey gap between the bricks and brown part will probebly be changed. Comments / Suggestions? Quote
sensee Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 bevel & emboss in photoshop are a big no-no Quote
hessi Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 maybe some of you wanted to use vertexcolors or vertexalpha which isnt working for you (or maybe just me) and today i found out how this fake vertexalpha works. its just 2 modulated textures. there is no seperated alphamask. i will write a short tutorial on this tomorrow. you may use this in many situations. for example: creating cool rain effects, waterfalls, smoke or fireeffects. anywhere you would need animated textures that fade out to one side of a plane. cya Quote
Gaz Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Yeah Hessi, thats how I made the large waterfall blend into my river on my final project Quote
