curman Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 curman i really like it, the moss rules... but the stones are huge I just wanted a larger brick wall. It's more fitting to a design of a mod. I don't see the connction between bricksize and design of a mod Uh. I meant it like. ...Dude piss off. Nah, just kidding. Just, the architecture of the buildings required a bigger size bricks/stone walls like these. That's all. Quote
General Vivi Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 this brick texture was origionally made tilable by my friend . i think it was his first tilable texture he made. I took the picture a while back and to show you how much i have progressed i went back to touch it up again and this is what i came up with . *image below* im still touching up the dark bricks to make it less noticable but this is my current wip for it. please let me know what you think. -vivi Quote
General Vivi Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 liquid bricks? thanks rd.................. ......... its a brick tile. and yeah its got a zig zag pattern. Quote
DaanO Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 vivi: Too grainy, and the shapes aren't clear enough. Personally, i'd start all over. Oogwhaahkwdjelaw: Great stuff, love the style Quote
Meotwister Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 hey I'm the friend who tiled it the first time. . . its from a real place so there should be no qualms about brick shapes. But yeah mossy stuff needs work vivi. Quote
curman Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 Rough-cut ground, doing some dirtied-up textures for http://www.off-limits.be/ Quote

Grinwhrl Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 Very great work like always Ooghi. I think they look better in my map though Quote
kleinluka Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 liquid bricks? thanks rd.................. ......... its a brick tile. and yeah its got a zig zag pattern. the problem with the texture is that the stuff that seems to be grass or shrubs is only an overlay and you didn't make much of an effort to make it look like grass (or anything for that matter).... it's just a dark mush with no real shape or definition. It makes all the stones seem like they have very soft edges and creates distracting noise on your texture. Either make the grass right or leave it out and have stones only. The half-ass inbetween-stuff destroys what could otherwise be a great texture Quote

What i thought was a great idea ended up getting me chewed out by lots of people that i liked. i should prob just stop all together and just have some artist do the job for me ..... *broken heart* Quote
